Global Roaming Services

Introduction

NUS Global Roaming Services provides NUS staff the convenience of accessing the Internet using their NUSNET account while overseas. Hence there will be no expensive IDD call back to NUS dialup system. You can work in comfort wherever you are, whenever you like. Most likely it is be cheaper than the Internet service provided by the hotels and airport.

How Does Roaming Work?

Staff in another country will dial into any of the ISPs listed in the dialer. The telephone number to dial is determined by the physical location of the staff. He will then supply his NUSNET User ID and password and the realm (eg. leanne_tan@nus.edu.sg where "@nus.edu.sg" is the realm). Remote ISP then forward her credentials to a central system which will in turn forward it to NUS authentication server. Successful or failed result will then be sent back to the originating server. If authentication is successful, the staff will be login on the remote ISP.

How Do I Register?

Roaming service is only available to all NUS staff, no registration is necessary.

This service is not available for students.
